How can I use the jobs I have posted in a Candidate Recruiting Call?
Following the US-Recruiters.com 2003 National Convention, many of the members picked up on an idea that Bob Rystrom presented. Bob pointed out that he lowered his sendout to placement ratio down to 1.5. That is, for every 1.5 sendouts he was making a placement. Bob contributed this to the fact that he religiously used his posted jobs when making first time candidate recruiting calls
Bob pointed out that nine out of ten times, while making a recruit call, he got the candidate's voice mail. He said that he would then leave his full name, company name and the reason for the call. He said that he would try again later but in the meantime he would appreciate if the candidate would go to his web site and look at job number XXXX. That job, he pointed out to the candidate, was the assignment he was working on and the one he wanted talk to candidate about. Bob went on to tell the candidate, if you are interested in talking to me further, please call me back and leave a voice mail message letting me know when would be a good time would to discuss this matter further.
Bob also said, that in reality, he didn't get a lot of call backs but those who did were qualfied and were interested in talking to him further or new of someone he should be talking to about the opportunity.
In either case it was a win-win situation. It worked for Bob so don't you think it just might work for you?
