Members in the News or on the Move . . . .
Most of you probably received this email from USRC Member Pam Bojan.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR To Our Clients, Candidates, Colleagues and Friends Please visit our MP BUZZ page and see what everyone is saying about Medical Power! www.medicalpower.com Best to all! Pam Bojan."
However, I am curious how many of you actually took the time to click on Pam's web site?
If you had you would have found that Pam is more than a recruiter, she is a marketer. By sending this email her goal apparently was to informally introduce herself to the membership and at the same time instill in you a confidence that she ran a QUALITY & PROFESSIONAL organization.
She also realized the impact of the power of many as she included the USRC logo and link back to the USRC site.
KUDOS to Pam for her effort, her web site and her desire to grow from within USRC network!
Most of you probably don't believe that people in the Midwest, like USRC member Scott Lever, go ice fishing. In fact most of you probably don't know what ice fishing is or what is entails.
Obviously , you need ice thick enough to support your weight, your snowmobile's or your truck's weight and possibly even a fish house. (key word - thick enough)
Once you have established the ice is thick enough you drill a hole in the ice with a power auger. And once you establish the hole will yield fish your set up can be as simple as a camp stool or a elaborate fish house. Some fish houses aren't very large but some can sleep up to eight people or more and have all the comforts of home.
Midwesterners are so caught up in ice fishing that lakes like Lake Millacs , which is roughly 20 x 20 miles, have plowed streets with fish house laid out just like a neigborhood. The plowed ice streets actually have names so that if your neighbor invites you up for the weekend, you can find his/her ice house.
Well, you are probably wonder why this bit on ice fishing - well USRC Member Scott Lever made the Six o'clock news as well as the newspaper when his truck fell through the ice. See Photo.
Send condolences to Scott

Bob, I want to, first, congratulate you on what I've seen you build through the past several years. USRC has really become impressive and hugely beneficial under your leadership and I've been quick to recommend membership to any colleague who is not enjoying the advantage of membership. I am scaling my business back and am going to be doing a few things out of my home with clients I've worked with for what seems like centuries, so I not going to rejoin USRC this year. I wish you nothing but the best....we've know one another since before the days of Duncan Wallace. (1979) Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful and healthy 2006...and beyond. Spike Ford.I first met Spike in 1980 at the Pace Setters Award Banquet, San Juan, Puerto Rico and because of that 26 year friendship it is hard for me to just cut Spoke off as he gears down into retirement. So, I am please to announce that C.E. "Spike" Ford is our first "Life Time Honorary Member."
Bob I wanted to take a minute to thank you for all you do and are doing for USRC to help make our recruiting lives more efficient and relational with each other that are members. Consider this a big "Atta Boy" from FOODPRO Have a great 2006! Looking forward to seeing you in May. -- Michael Soulek, President, FOODPRO / Pharmaceutical / Consumer Packaging Recruiters Inc. 14 Remington Way San Antonio, TX 78258.
I recently received an email from a new member who joined USRC in late December stating that she had already received considerable benefit from joining our network of recruiters.
So, I sent her an email back asking exactly what benefits she received and her response was as follows:
Thanks Bob, Susan Hackbarth President/Owner Lane Search Group, LLC Susan@lanesearchgroup.com
- Signed up for Monster under the discount program.
- Have received some calls from partners interested in helping on searches
- Have received calls from vendors offering a good service at discounted rate.
- Have received a few inquiries to the jobs posted.
Comment: It goes to show if you invest in something, you are likely to get something positive back like . . .
- A good price from a preferred vendor
- Building relations with fellow members
- Getting results from jobs posted on our site.
Bob, We won't be able to attend the conference but we sure appreciate the opportunity to be part of US Recruiters and we especially appreciate all of your hard work on our behalf. Thanks again, Victoria Bonus

Many Thanks! - My spirit has been renewed. Our organization has just came to my rescue in masses. I quit counting after 100 responses Bob! I started to respond to them individually and decided I would only end up wasting more of their time on this (especially when over half said to not waste time and energy on the fight for justice, rather redirect my energy and make a placement elsewhere!) I NEED to respond to their gracious help so could you please send a GIGANTIC thank you from me and let them know that I am taking bits and pieces from everyone. I will publish the results of our efforts in a US Recruiters newsletter so we can all continue to learn from each other. Thank you! Kim Heitland Qualified Management Recruiters 319-848-3227
